Object Synopsis

hitlist -- object representing search/sort results in a Merlin database

A hitlist object stores the results of operations on a Merlin database (a "pool"). When a hitlist is created, all rows (TDTs) in the pool are "hit" (are part of the hitlist), and the hitlist is in the order in which TDTs appear in the database ("native order"). A search adds or removes hits from the hitlist, and a sort changes the order of entries in the hitlist.
